New Honda Brio with High Local Purchase Introduced in Indonesia

New Honda Brio officially introduced in Indonesia. Derived from the embryo of the KBH2 program (Energy Efficient and Affordable Four-Wheel Motorized Vehicles), this car is claimed to have local purchase which is quite high, up to 96%.

“Honda continues to increase local content for Brio products by involving more local suppliers in Indonesia. Until now, Honda Brio has become a product with local purchase the highest, which can reach 96%,” said HPM (Honda Prospect Motor) Business Innovation and Sales & Marketing Director Yusak Billy in Jakarta.

You do (production) using labourers, that has been calculated, because the workers are Indonesians. Meanwhile, the domestic content is the component,” Nangoi told detikcom some time ago.

“If we make a car, the cost is, for example, Rp. 100 million. The Rp. 100 million cost includes work costs, transportation costs, electricity and all kinds of things, including components. But domestic content is only for those components. This (local) purchase) includes all kinds of fees,” continued Nangoi.
