  • A 77-year-old man, accommodated in a home for the elderly in Varna, died in a hospital, and his relatives suspect that he was subjected to violence, Nova TV reports.

The pensioner was placed in the family home after hospital treatment. After his placement, however, the family remained without any connection with him. According to daughter Nevyana Petrova, the staff at the home refused information and assistance.

The home for old people in Dragalevtsi: The house of horrors, screams echo all day long

“On October 26, after an 8-day stay in a hospital where he was on hemodialysis for kidney problems, we placed my father here in a nursing home. He was stable and in contact. He needed a special medicine to be given daily and to be monitored. The very next day we were denied information. Whenever we wanted to talk to him – they said he was sleeping or rioting, “Petrova explains.

That is why the relatives sought help from the police. Eventually, the man was taken out of the home, but in critical condition, taken to hospital, but unfortunately died.

Relatives suspect that he was abused and drugged. They filed a complaint with the prosecutor’s office.

The expertise from the performed autopsy is expected.

The hospice declined to comment. An inspection by the Service Quality Agency found a number of violations.

After the report, many signals of identical cases of “care” came from the same place.

This time it is about a 76-year-old woman who enters the home in relatively good health, and after an 8-day stay there, relatives were informed that she had died.

“On October 13, my mother was admitted here with dementia. The hospice management told us that everything would be fine. About an hour later, I called my mother and she told me that the things we think are not happening at home, “said the daughter of the deceased woman.

“My mother was in good condition and took care of herself when she entered the hospice. In most cases, when we tried to contact her – there was no answer, “added the daughter.
