New Hologram Communication Booth Unveiled at CES 2024

At CES 2024 in Las Vegas, an unusual booth for communicating with people was presented.

It’s called Holobox. Equipped with a large 86-inch LCD touch screen, built-in Hi-Fi speakers, anti-glare glass and ports for connection and charging.

The software built into it analyzes data from cameras and allows you to transform a person standing in front of a white background into a full-fledged three-dimensional hologram. It is transmitted over the Internet to another Holobox, where it is displayed on a transparent screen.

There is a delay, but it is small. As a result, the person who sees the hologram will see an almost real interlocutor in the booth in full-length three-dimensional format.

There is also a Holobox mini that can be placed on a desk. She shows a hologram at a scale of 1:4.

According to the company behind Holoconnects, many organizations are already using their technology, including UNICEF, the United Nations, Nike, Vodafone, BMW, Deloitte and T-Mobile.

Sales of new products will start in the second half of 2024. The price has not yet been announced. [ZDNet]
