“New Health Center in Arbois: Grouping of Medical Professionals at Ethole Business Park”

The Health pole began its activities on May 2 in the Ethole business park, in Arbois. He completes a care offer present in the city center which already includes a general practice, two nursing care centers, a physiotherapist, the ophthalmological clinic, a cardiology practice, a dental practice and a podiatrist.

Why an installation at Ethole?

If the Health Pole is installed in the activity area, it is in particular because there was not enough large and accessible ground in the city center. Moreover, the possible renovation of an old building in town could have required a much larger budget, or even involved a smaller car park.

More than three years of preparation

Solen Binoist-Marendaz, Valérie Cachot, Nicolas Segard, Paul Cellerier and Marlène Vichet, all at the heart of the Pôle santé project, have been working since September 2019 on this grouping, slowed down by the health crisis. Today, the file is finalized.

THE physiotherapistsTHE speech therapistsTHE psychomotriciennes and the nursing offices have been there since May 2.

The two general practitioners Valérie Cachot and Solen Binoist-Marendaz will receive their patients in these new premises from May 9. Sophia Akkaya and Ariane Grossmann, nurses, will settle in June and Elise Vilaplana, midwife, in September.

The issue of new patients

To date, the two general practitioners are unable to accept new patients.

“As long as we do not have another doctor, we cannot welcome new patients. That’s kind of why we built this medical center, to attract doctors.”explains Valérie Cachot.

“A box doctor remains free for the moment, but we hope to recruit well. We will start with substitutes and try to retain them. As for telemedicine, it is planned, but the implementation must be done with the Regional Health Agency”.

As for the difficulties in finding a new collaborator, Valérie Cachot has an explanation: “The problem is that we do at least 2 hours of administration a day and that we work around 70 hours a week. This is not what young doctors want..

Why a private medical house?

Solen Binoist-Marendaz details the reasons that governed the choice of structure for this health center. The different actors wanted » be sure to have a building quickly and have the offices that we have designed. We have two different poles, paramedics and doctors, nurses and psychologists, two poles that meet on the common part”.

And to continue: “It was important to be able to work together and for everyone to have access to the common areas. These are plans that we drew with the architect so that it was really our project, our way of working ” .

The building meets PMR standards (Persons with reduced mobility) and also includes an emergency room and a studio for trainees.

Since May 9, one phone number allows contact general practitioners Solen Binoist-Marendaz and Valérie Cachot on 03 84 73 02 72. Appointments: Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday from 8 a.m. to 12 p.m. and from 2 p.m. to 5:30 p.m. Wednesday from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m.

Outside these hoursa telephone answer will be provided from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. for emergencies. Home visits for patients unable to travel will still be provided.
