ActiZ, Alzheimer Nederland, LOC, NIP, Verenso, V&VN and Zorgthuisnl, have a helping hand delivered for the visit scheme in nursing homes. Visitors are now possible at every nursing home location and we have entered a different phase. Due to the increasing number of infections and other insights, these parties have decided to write a new guide. This guide will not only focus on the visit, but also look at the broader context of social contacts. The new guide is expected to be published at the beginning of September 2020.
New guide
With the guide that was delivered at the beginning of May, care organizations could again make visits possible. In the new guide, the visit will no longer be the central topic and there will no longer be any phasing. Various situations are described that organizations can respond to with customization. There will be room for the considerations that the care organization must make between safety and quality of life, in consultation with the client council, works council, the nursing advisory council (VAR / PAR) and the directing practitioners.
Different subjects
Visiting a nursing home will be one of the topics, but the guide also includes frameworks for involving family members and volunteers in the provision of care, even in times of an outbreak or increased contamination in the region.
Sounding board group provides input
Before the guide is published, in addition to a sounding board group of experts, GGD GHOR Nederland also reads along. They also provide input for the content.
