“New Graphics Cards with Ada Lovelace Architecture: GeForce RTX 4060 and RTX 4060 Ti Models on the Way”

Apparently, the lines of graphics cards with Ada Lovelace architecture should expand already on May 24. That’s when graphics cards should come into play GeForce RTX 4060 a RTX 4060 Ti, while the latter is to come in both an 8GB version and a 16GB variant. Only the 8GB RTX 4060 Ti should go on sale at the same time, we will have to wait until July for the other two models (8GB RTX 4060 and 16GB RTX 4060 Ti). Nvidia is rumored to be discontinuing the older GeForce RTX 3060 Ti at the end of 2020 to make room for the new models. Even so, they will have to come down with prices, otherwise they will be almost unsellable next to more powerful new products. This is because the new graphics are speculated to come with the same prices as the last generation models, which is something we haven’t seen with the RTX 4000 before.

There has also been information that the 16GB version of the GeForce RTX 4060 Ti will have a higher TDP than its weaker 8GB version. But we don’t have to despair here. While there was a very pleasant intergenerational reduction from 200 W to 160 W for the 8GB variant (from RTX 3060 Ti to RTX 4060 Ti), in the case of the 16GB variant, the increase against the 8GB version should be minimal and there is talk of a 165W TDP. Even this is still a pretty good value considering what performance is expected and how unpleasantly graphics card consumption has grown in recent years.
