New Golf R 333 Limited Edition: Sold Out in 8 Minutes for a Price of Over 76,000 Euros

A few days ago we got to know the new Golf R 333 Limited Edition, a special edition equipped with a high-performance exhaust system, blue painted brake calipers and black covers for the side mirrors. Despite the price of more than 76,000 euros, according Engine1the 333 copies of this special edition were ordered in just 8 minutes!

The new Golf R 333 is equipped with a 2.0 liter petrol unit capable of developing 333 horsepower and a maximum torque of 420 Nm. Under these conditions, the Golf R 333 promises a maximum speed of 270 km/h and a sprint from 0 to 100 km/h possible in just 4.6 seconds.

On the outside, the Germans chose a special shade of Lime Yellow Metallic to paint the body. The special edition model is also distinguished by some side elements with special graphics and a set of 19-inch rims equipped with semi-slick tires. As for the passenger compartment, those from Volkswagen limited themselves to saying that the new Golf R 333 will be equipped with all the features available at the moment in the offer of the German manufacturer for the compact class model.

The most expensive production Golf ever made

Sold exclusively on the German car market, the new Golf R 333 was assembled in a limited edition of only 333 examples. The price set by the Germans for each R 333 model was 76,410 euros, including all taxes. The order list opened on June 2, with buyers proving eager to secure one of the 333 examples built.

According to the announcement made by Stefan Voswinkel, Head of Product Communications in the framework Volkswagen, all 333 copies sold out in just eight minutes. Those who managed to order the new R 333 will be able to enjoy it only in the fall, however, when deliveries are scheduled to begin.
