Jakarta –
Yann Sommer finally officially become a player Inter Milan. He explained his reasons for wanting to join the Nerazzurri.
Inter inaugurated Sommer as the new goalkeeper on Tuesday (8/8/2023) in the morning WIB. La Beneamata got the 34-year-old goalkeeper from Bayern Munich.
Sommer was bought by Inter for 6 million euros. The man from Switzerland was then tied to a contract until 2026.
Sommer is known as a goalkeeper who is good at using his feet. This is also what can at least make up for Andrea Onana’s departure from Inter Milan to Manchester United.
“I’m a very explosive goalkeeper, so I try to be brave, to help the team and be an option for them with my feet. I try to give a lot of faith to the team, be calm as a goalkeeper and be consistent,” Sommer told Inter TV.
“That’s the main reason I like playing for Inter. Simone Inzaghi likes to play from the back, that’s also my style as a goalkeeper. I like to be a good choice for the team, to play under pressure, that’s what I like,” he said.
This is also Sommer’s new adventure in the world of football. During his career, he has never played in Italy and spent more time traveling in the German Bundesliga.
