“New Girl” star Zooey Deschanel (43) is engaged to her boyfriend Jonathan Scott (45).

The couple shares this in a joint update on Instagram on Monday evening Norwegian time.
– Forever starts now!!!, they write to a selfie where Deschanel shows off her engagement ring.
Ifølge Entertainment Tonight Scott proposed to Deschanel during a family vacation in Scotland on Sunday.
Her two children Elsie (8) and Charlie (6), who she has from a previous marriage to film producer Jacob Pechenik, should also have been present.
Deschanel is known from the TV series “New Girl” and the films “Elf” and “Yes Man”, while Scott leads the Canadian TV show “Property Brothers”.
The newly engaged couple met each other for the first time in 2019 during the filming of an episode of the Apple TV+ program “Carpool Karaoke”, which also featured Jonathan’s twin brother Drew Scott and Zooey’s sister Emily Deschanel.
In an interview with Entertainment Tonight in July, where the clip was replayed, Deschanel describes the moment like this:
– It is so sweet to see this. How many people can say they have their meeting with their partner – the entire first meeting – on video?
