The third generation Tiguan was “caught” in the capital of Slovenia, Ljubljana, during the filming of a commercial.
The premiere of the new generation Tiguan is scheduled for September, but potential customers of the latest release can get an idea of the compact crossover already if they watch a short video posted on their YouTube channel by Internet user Avtomanija TV.
It shows the Tiguan without a mask, revealing the main design details of the new model – the headlights similar to the models of the electric ID family with a line of diodes connecting them and the grown-up taillights with the same binding element.
It is known that the new model has slightly increased in size, adding 32 liters to the luggage compartment (now 648 l.), but the cabin will have a new instrument panel with a size of 10.25 inches, a multimedia system screen with a size of 12.9-15 inches, depending on the version, as well as the gear shifter, which is now placed under the steering wheel.
The European market is promised 1.5 and 2.0 TSI gasoline engines, 2.0 TDI diesel, a hybrid unit, as well as a rechargeable hybrid with a range of up to 120 kilometers in electric mode.
It will probably upset fans of sports models, but the manufacturer has decided to delete the powerful R modifications.
