CALIFORNIA. Apple is working on a new generation of processors for its Mac computers, which would be available in early 2021, and which would exceed the performance offered by Intel’s.
The technology company presented its first own Apple M1 processor in November, along with the MacBook and Mac computers in which it would arrive integrated.
The company’s engineers, however, are already working on the successors to the M1, which would improve the performance offered by the latest Intel chips, sources close to this issue have informed Bloomerg.
The next generation of Apple processors would be ready for launch in spring 2021 and later in fall, and would be incorporated into teams of different ranges for their update.
The quoted outlet indicates that Apple is expected to complete the transition from Intel’s chips to its own in 2022.
