Following the teaser of the large Lexus TX crossover, which will be offered with three rows of seats, representatives of the Japanese brand have published photos of the next novelty. This time the focus is on the new Lexus GX SUV, which will replace the current model, which has been in production since 2009.

The Lexus GX, like the related SUV Toyota Land Cruiser, has long been preparing for a generation change: a series of restylings and small upgrades can no longer hide the true age of a well-deserved model. Judging by the published photos with body fragments, the future third-generation Lexus GX will take on the appearance of the new flagship LX SUV, but otherwise the details about the new product are still kept secret by the Japanese.

From what we were able to see, we can only distinguish angular wheel arches, LED headlights in the style of the same older LX model, as well as a thin isthmus between the rear lights at the stern, which instead of the brand logo is decorated with a large inscription with the brand name.

Curiously, the flagship Lexus LX debuted after the Toyota Land Cruiser 300 soplatform model, but the new GX seems to be introduced even before the related next-generation Land Cruiser Prado SUV. According to preliminary information, the new Lexus GX will retain the frame structure, but at the same time try on the latest hybrid power plants of the Toyota concern. An exact debut date has yet to be announced.
