“New Gameplay Trailer for Star Wars Jedi: Survivor Reveals Exciting Action and Characters”

Although the ongoing Star Wars Celebration Europe 2023 event in London is largely avoiding the realm of video games, we have new and apparently the last gameplay trailerwhich invites you to an action-adventure Star Wars Jedi: Survivor by EA and Respawn Entertainment. In it, accompanied by the commentary of Cere Junda, the mentor of the main character Cal Kestis, there is really a lot to see.

Fans of the Clone Wars era can obviously look forward not only to battles with droids, but also to an environment strikingly reminiscent of the corridors of Trade Federation ships. The trailer also gives a lot of space to the fight with the massive Rayvis, a member of the recently approached ancient Gen’dai race, who is very strong, lives a damn long time and grows body parts. Moreover, it confirms that an as yet unknown humanoid, who judging by his clothing has something to do with the high Republic period known from books and comics, controls the Force.

The video does not skimp on spectacular action moments, including a fight with a massive Rancor, throwing an AT-ST pilot out of the cockpit using the Force or a chase on speeders and shooting a poor Scout Trooper towards a TIE fighter just passing by. And it seems Cal isn’t the only one in the game who can wield a blue-bladed lightsaber.

Can also be seen again in the trailer rich examples of a system called Characters in Gameplay, thanks to which mercenary Bode Acuna or Nightsister Merrin can help you in the fight. Game director Stig Asmussen then in the new conversation for the official Star Wars website confirmed that minions can be summoned even in the middle of combat to save your neck and launch a very powerful attack. But expect the cooldown of this option, so it will not be possible to use it all the time. On the other hand, this system can also be used while solving puzzles.

To make matters worse, it is possible to see here and there significant graphical improvement compared to the first volume, that is, with the game Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order from 2019. According to Asmussen, it’s not just that the ray tracing and other visual and technological elements look good. Even they can speed up and make development more pleasant. For example, when creators can see the lighting changes they’re making in real time thanks to ray tracing, they can edit, tune, and improve everything much better. In the past, they sometimes had to wait several hours for the pre-calculated lighting settings to take effect.

Star Wars Jedi: Survivor is released on April 28/April this year for PC, Xbox Series X|S and PlayStation 5.
