Check out everything we know about the new game
The president and CEO of CD Projekt, Adam Kiciński, revealed during a company meeting that the new project set in the Geralt of Rivia universe will receive a considerable increase in personnel from the team that worked on “Cyberpunk 2077“. In other words, the deal promises to be as grand as possible, especially for those who are fans of the franchise.
According to some information, in July, the team involved in “Phantom Liberty” had 300 members. Although it was smaller than it was at the end of 2021, it was still the largest team in the company.
At the same time, the team working on the Polaris project grew to nearly 260 developers by the end of July. After the release of the DLC, a large part of this team will be transferred to the Polaris project.
The “Cyberpunk 2077: Phantom Liberty” DLC is scheduled to be released on September 26 for Xbox Series S/X, PlayStation 5 and PC. Only after this release, it is likely that CD Projekt will dedicate itself fully to bringing another chapter of Geralt of Rivia’s story to the world for fans.
All that is known about the Polaris project is that it is planned to be an open-world role-playing game that will serve as the starting point for a new trilogy in the renowned “The Witcher” franchise.
So far, a specific release date for the game has not been announced. So fans will have to wait a little longer, but it will certainly be worth it.
