New Art Gallery “Same” Opens in Chartres
Chartres, France – A new art gallery called “Same” has recently opened its doors in Chartres, showcasing the works of four talented artists. The gallery, located in the former premises of the Capelina hat shop, aims to bring together artists who share a common vision and passion for art.
“We are united in a collective, which we have called the Same, like the name of the street and that of the gallery,” explains Blandine Cousin, one of the artists behind the project. The gallery features a diverse range of artworks, including digital art, photo compositions, collages, and thermoformed and enamelled glass pieces.
The gallery is currently open until September 15th, and the artists are considering whether to continue in the same premises or find a new location. “Afterwards, we will see if we continue in the same premises or others,” says Cousin.
Visitors to the gallery can expect to find unique pieces and limited editions, with prices ranging from 15 to 1,000 €. “In the gallery, we present our works and we sell them. Each afternoon, one of the four artists will be present,” says Cousin. The gallery aims to cater to all budgets and provide a space for art enthusiasts to discover and appreciate new works.
The artists featured in the gallery include Patrick Gaouyat, who offers digital art and photo compositions, Natahlie Bonneau, who creates collages with adhesive tape, and Pilar du Breuil, a visual artist who works with landscape and portrait photos. Blandine Cousin herself presents works in thermoformed and enamelled glass, combined with ink drawings on linen canvas.
The Sainte-Even Gallery is open from Monday to Thursday, 2 p.m. to 8 p.m., and Friday and Saturday, 2 p.m. to 10 p.m. The public opening took place on Saturday, June 24th, at 6 p.m. The gallery is located at 21 rue Sainte-Même in Chartres.
