New fuss about corona vaccination for the mayor of Pottendorf

As oe24 found out, the mayor of Pottendorf, Thomas Sabbata-Valteiner, received a message from a concerned citizen a week before his corona vaccination, who asked for information about immunization for her 81-year-old mother in need of care.

The “pre-vaccinators” have dominated the headlines for days. It is becoming more and more common that mayors throughout Austria have the last doses of the coveted corona vaccine vaccinated during vaccination campaigns in nursing homes. So did Thomas Sabbata-Valteiner, the SPÖ mayor of Pottendorf in Lower Austria.

He was immunized together with 91 percent of the residents and 64 percent of the home’s employees on January 14th. The outcry was certainly great. After all, at 46 years of age and without any previous illnesses, he is not one of vaccination priority I. He received one of the three remaining doses. The other two went to the parish priest and chaplain.

But now the vaccination farce continues. Because shortly before the vaccination, Sabbata-Valteiner received a WhatsApp message from a concerned citizen.
