A few weeks ago, the Android version already showed the first indications, and now the iOS beta of WhatsApp has also discovered evidence of a new, practical function.-
Apparently they are planning to enable users to participate in missed group calls retrospectively if they are still running at the time of calling WhatsApp. Video calls are particularly popular in times of corona, which is why such an adjustment is likely to meet with a positive user response. Other apps such as Microsoft Teams or Skype, in which video calls can be made, have offered this feature for a long time.
Important note: The call function is not currently available in either the beta or the standard version. WhatsApp is currently working on the implementation – but users still have to be patient.
