The Ministry of Health has updated its food recall list with two products that could endanger the health of consumers. This news comes following checks carried out both by the Ministry and by the producers themselves.
The products to be collected may have already been purchased for some time, therefore it will be necessary to make sure that the purchased lot does not correspond to the one indicated by the Ministry in its official document, so as to be able to rest assured during their consumption, totally risk-free.
The first product concerns Salame Felino PGI, withdrawn by the producer ALDI following the results obtained in the common self-control analyzes which are carried out periodically on all products intended for sale, especially when it comes to food products intended for consumption. According to ALDI there is a risk that Salmonella may be present in salami.
The lots and the complete name of the whole cured meat are as follows: “Salame Felino Igp branded “Regione che vai” Aldi supermarkets – whole piece of 500 gr. – Lots C22430083; C22450029; C22 450054 and C22470486.
If the codes are compatible with the products purchased, it is advisable to follow the instructions provided by the company, which advises not to consume the product, which should instead be returned to the point of sale in exchange for a refund, so that the company can proceed with the collection and the destruction of the withdrawn lots.

Anchovy fillets also appear in the reports from the Ministry of Health, which have been subjected to checks that have highlighted a high bacterial risk due to the presence of histamine beyond the maximum permitted by law. Among the causes of the formation of histamine, in addition to the natural ones, there are also bacterial contamination, so there could be a big risk.
Histamine is particularly dangerous as it resists high temperatures and therefore the product cannot be consumed even when cooked, since it would require a very, very long time.
Depending on the person, if a contaminated anchovy is ingested, one could experience symptoms of poisoning, with urticaria, headache, nausea, vomiting and diarrhea, up to histamine shock and heart failure, so pay attention to these lots and the brand of the product.
