Microsoft is testing new features for the Windows 11 operating system, including automatic saving of content in Notepad and a snipping tool for better capture of screen shots.
The Windows Insider Program (Windows Insider Program) brings some new news, and Microsoft continues to enhance the built-in gadgets of Windows 11, including Notepad, clipping tools, etc.
Microsoft is testing automatically saving the text content of Notepad, saving the state of your work session. You don’t need to save files manually, and the save prompt will no longer appear when you close the window. You can continue editing from the original content next time you open Notepad.
This function change seems small but quite practical. In fact, most note-taking software has already achieved automatic storage, and Notepad is ready to keep up with everyone. It is a big step behind competitors.

In addition, the snipping tool that captures the contents of the screen has a better recording interface, and the ability to select the audio source of the recorded screen.
These new features are currently being rolled out in the Canary and Dev channels of the Windows Tester Program. If you are willing to experience them early, you can register as a tester, or wait until the official version update is released before using it.
