The popular photo and video sharing application Instagram continues to offer new features.
Coming to users with iOS and Android applications, Instagram had previously started testing a feature called “Add You Too”. This feature has now been made available by the official announcement by Instagram.
WHAT IS THE ‘ADD YOU’ FEATURE?
The “Add You Too” feature is among the stickers in the story tab. With this sticker, users can respond to other users’ stories with their own by following a prompt or a specific topic. Thus, a kind of story chain is formed.
For example, a user who chooses the “nature photo of the day” prompt and adds the “Add You Too” sticker to their story, other users can reply with their own stories. When users respond, they are added between the profile bubbles on the sticker.
While this feature seems to aim to increase user interaction with each other, it is also seen as a way to discover more people to follow. Because when you click on the “Add you too” sticker in a user’s story, it is possible to see the people who responded and their stories.
It’s worth noting that Instagram’s new feature is similar to the “duet” feature in TikTok.
