Dance specialist Helena Ahti-Hallberg recently told about fake news circulating on social media under her name. Fake news resembles the headlines of tabloid newspapers and claims things about Ahti-Hallberg that are not true. For example, in one of the fake news Ahti-Hallberg was reported to have died.
Earlier in the week, Ahti-Hallberg said on her Instagram that her followers have filed reports related to the topic. However, they have not led to anything.
– Meta replies that “advertisements” are not removed, so it’s OK that I’ve been arrested, I’ve gotten rich, my career has been destroyed and I’m dead. Thanks Meta, great activity! Ahti-Hallberg told.
– It’s unbelievable that Meta responds like that, Ahti-Hallberg commented on the topic to Iltalehte at the launch event of the software of Elevent Group Oy, which he owns.
Ahti-Hallberg is aware of at least six fake news stories circulating about him on social media. Ahti-Hallberg has filed a criminal complaint about fake news. He has been asked for more information regarding the announcement and Ahti-Hallberg has forwarded the screenshots of the fake news.
He says that he plans to attach Meta’s answer to the announcement as well, which he shared on his Instagram.
– Now I think we are acting illegally. It has to be stopped, Ahti-Hallberg says firmly
– Just yesterday, a new kind came again that I hadn’t seen before. They just keep going, says Ahti-Hallberg.
One thing in particular upsets Ahti-Hallberg regarding scams.
– I have received many messages from the children of older people that their father has invested in something and they are calling from abroad. I think it’s terrible that people waste their money because they believe fake news, says Ahti-Hallberg.
