new fake news from Darmanin

The first police officer in France does not burden himself with an investigation to spread nauseating information on his social networks. This time, it is a story of insults exchanged between a son of a police officer and one of his snapchat contacts around a photo of the Christmas festivities which, after having made an appointment, degenerated in a fight. Gerald Darmanin, quickly seizing the news item, tweeted: ” a young man attacked because he would have celebrated Christmas and would not be a “good Arab”. “Aggravating” circumstance: being the son of police officers “, by adding ” no place for separatism in our country, no place for racism “. A good dose of instrumentalization to try to legitimize his racist and Islamophobic law “against separatism”, in short.

Unfortunately for him, Gérald Darmanin’s version turned out to be totally false counter-information so that it is denied by the Prefecture of Belfort itself in a press release.

Eric Plantier, the Belfort prosecutor believes, after the 4 days of investigation not only that he is “By no means established that a person of Muslim faith would have been expressly accused of celebrating the Christian holiday of Christmas”, or even that “It cannot be affirmed that the quality of the son of a police officer is at the origin of the violence or would have been a determining element”. The prosecutor concludes instead on a “Verbal outburst” which seems “More to do with a question of ego, the complainant considering that his contact, younger than him, had disrespected him, and not a desire to impose religious convictions on others”. Finally, he disavows the versions of the facts disseminated in Latest News from Alsace then in AFP, and that Gérald Darmanin hastened to relay, speaking of “Fragmentary or inaccurate information likely to cause a disturbance to public order”.

Once again, the Minister of the Interior illustrated himself by distorting reality in order to justify his Islamophobic and repressive policies. A well-established mechanism on the part of Gérald Darmanin, that many Internet users have not failed to denounce on the web, with “Nine lies of the ministers revealed in less than a month”.
