New Facts of Shooting at the Presidential Palace, Moderate Figure of the Taliban Baradar Knocked Out

ACCEPTANCE – The figure that the United States (US) and its Western allies hope will be a moderate voice in the government Taliban Afghanistan has been purged after a dramatic shootout at the presidential palace in Kabul.

The latest facts were revealed by a number of people familiar with the matter in a report released Saturday (18/9/2021) by Arabic and Bloomberg.

Mullah Abdul Ghani Baradar is the face of the most recognizable Taliban figure leading peace talks with the US.

“Baradar was physically attacked by a leader of the Haqqani Network in early September during talks at the palace regarding cabinet formation,” said the source, who asked not to be named regarding the incident.

“Baradar has pushed for an inclusive cabinet that includes non-Taliban leaders and ethnic minorities, which will be more acceptable to the rest of the world,” the sources said.

“At one point during the meeting, Khalil ul Rahman Haqqani got up from his chair and started punching the Taliban leader,” the source said.
