Pocket financial skills
In order to establish a budget, you need to know what you are spending your money on. But on a daily basis, it is not easy to get an overview. With the new extended BudgetCH app, the umbrella association Budget-Conseil Suisse offers a simple solution. This app helps to establish the household budget, allows easy entry of expenses and gives advice on savings possibilities. This makes it easier to get an overview of your own finances. The development of the application is supported by jeunesetbudget.ch and by the Cantonal Banks.
“Knowing how our expenses are distributed is essential for establishing a balanced budget,” explains Philipp Frei, director of Budget-Conseil Suisse. An app lends itself particularly well to this because we always have our smartphone with us, which makes it easy and quick to enter expenses. This avoids the tedious task of collecting invoices, while providing an overview of expenses. It does not matter whether the payment is made in cash, by card or via Twint. “The new payment options are convenient, but also increase the risk of losing the overview. One can in particular accumulate without even noticing purchases by credit card, or by mobile phone on the app-stores”, adds Philipp Frei. The BudgetCH application allows you to view your expenses at any time, in one click, and compare them to the budget to identify any discrepancies. In addition, budgeting users receive practical tips on what to consider and how to save money. The overview and tips build financial skills.
