New Experienced Footballer Joining Spartak Trnava’s Attack: Coach Reveals Future New Member with Pre-Printed Jersey Tag

Another experienced footballer will join Spartak Trnava’s attack, who should help the “black and red” improve their offensive and bring the necessary goals. Coach Michal Gašparík revealed that the future new member of his cabin already has a printed jersey with a name tag.

Soccer players Spartak Trnava are currently in the winter tournament Tipsport Malta Cup 2024, during which they undergo a two-week training before the start of the spring part of the Nike League. They will compete against a pair of Czech clubs Sigma Olomouc a Hradec Králové and Austria is also waiting for them Austria Vienna.

The Spartak team is trying to fine-tune their form as best as possible on the popular holiday island, and two new players should help Trnava to do this – a 22-year-old Swede Jaheem Burke and an equally old Croat Tomislav Krizmanič.

“They are a bit tired and you can feel it. And they say so themselves,” Gašparík laughed, “even though we started a bit lightly, but they were used to something else and you can feel that they are tired and have heavier legs, but we know why we took them. They both have quality, they are young guys, so I believe that they will gradually get into it even more.”

“I believe that they will succeed in this competition as well, because the team is of high quality, we have doubled positions, so it will not be easy for them, but they are promising players. I believe they will be helpful in the spring, but also in the future. It is difficult to predict in advance. It will be best to see their development in the team, but I think they have a perspective,” added the coach of Spartak.

One veteran has gone, another is coming

In the near future, another new player should join the “little Rome” who should fill the vacant post in the leading position, where the experienced Michal Ďuriš worked successfully during the fall. “He hasn’t joined us yet, but his jersey is already made,” smiled Michal Gašparík. “We are waiting to see if he agrees with the club and maybe he will be here today or tomorrow and maybe he won’t come. We don’t have any details yet, so we’ll see what happens.” said Gašparík on Tuesday.

According to information from ŠPORT.sk, a 35-year-old Czech forward should become a new player for Spartak Trnava Tomas Poznar, who last worked in the Polish club Termalica Nieczieczia. In his portfolio he has several Czech clubs such as Zlín, Viktoria Plzeň and Baník Ostrava, but in the 2013/14 season he also worked in Slovakia, where he wore the jersey of Spartak Trnava.

In 2021, Tomáš Poznar played for Zlín in preparation against Slovan Bratislava, source: TASR

He scored 3 goals in 11 matches at that time. He scored the most for his “native” Zlín, in whose colors he played 260 matches, scored 79 goals and assisted on 17. However, he has been without an employer since January.

As part of the Tipsport Malta Cup tournament, Trnava’s first match awaits already on Wednesday evening, when it will meet Sigma Olomouc at 20:00 at the Ta’Qali National Stadium.
