From now on, the KURIER reports more and more from the state capital St. Pölten. If you want to stay informed about all important topics in the city, then you can register here or at the end of the article for the weekly newsletter “Ganz St. Pölten”.
The Lower Austria Museum in St. Pölten has presented the exhibitions planned for 2021. While the House of History takes a look at the history of sport over the past 100 years, the House of Nature is dedicated to the wilderness in the city. There are also other events on the program in the well-known “Story told” and “Nature experienced” formats. The digital offer is also to be expanded, according to a broadcast.
History of Sports
According to Christian Rapp, the scientific director of the House of History, the development of the interaction between sport and society will be examined in more detail with “I wer ‘narrisch! The century of sports”. “Politics, media and business play a major role”, added the curator Bernhard Hachleitner. The visitors should also become active themselves.

Wilderness in the city
The show “Wilderness City” will explore the living conditions for animals and plants in urban areas from October 10th. Central European cities are, according to Ronald Lintner, the curator and scientific director of the House for Nature, “habitats rich in species”. “Our exhibition will sharpen the view of nature in front of your own nose and tell amazing stories,” he announced.
