The Initiative Committee accused the local authorities of deliberate inaction and are considering removing their trust from the mayor and the municipal council by blocking the Municipality building.

This morning, the police arrested Ivan Busarov on charges of petty hooliganism during last night’s protest march, which continued to the resort village of Leshten, thus unintentionally blocking the road. More than 50 people protested in front of the police station in Gotse Delchev, demanding that the young man be released and the charges against him dropped.
The Initiative Committee of the protesters claimed that in the last two days alone, seven new registrations were made in Kremikovtsi district. They accused the local government of deliberate inaction, serving specific political interests before the local vote.
On Wednesday, June 17, residents of the municipality of Garmen will hold an open meeting in the local community center, informed Ivan Bayraktarov from the Initiative Committee, and one of the proposals that will be discussed is the removal of confidence in the Municipal Council and the Mayor of Garmen.
