Houston (USA), May 31 (EFE) .- The New England Revolution maintained its winning streak as leader of the Eastern Conference, where the recovery of the Philadelphia Union also stood out, and Sporting Kansas City began to show its potential winner in the Western Conference, where the Seattle Sounfers FC lost steam at the conclusion of the seventh day of the Professional Soccer League (MLS) of the United States.
The New England team, under the direction of Spanish midfielder Carles Gil – MLS leader in assists (5) – defeated FC Cincinnati 1-0 on the road and consolidated at the head of the East standings with 17 points (5- 2-1).
While the Union thrashed the Portland Timbers 3-0 and placed in second place with 14 points (4-2-2) three less than the Revolution, but on the rise with their game.
The same happened to Sporting Kansas City in the West, where they came back from a goal against and beat the Houston Dynamo 3-2, which allowed them to rise to second place in the standings with 16 points (5-1-2) one less than the Seattle Sounders who could not go from a 0-0 draw against the new Austin FC franchise, but still lead with 17 points and undefeated (5-3-0).
