New electric filling stations appeared in Bishkek – Vesti.kg

The expert told how the state could stimulate the electric car market in the Kyrgyz Republic

Many electric vehicles have a real range of about 200 kilometers, so a developed charging network is necessary for comfortable operation in the city. So product manager Denis Salt commented Vesti.kg news about the appearance of two new electric filling stations in Bishkek.

He told readers about how the state could further stimulate sales of electric vehicles in Kyrgyzstan.

“Some taxi drivers who have preferred electric cars as a working transport complain about the long time of charging a car,” the source said. “Therefore, the state needs to think about installing charging stations that could “refuel” the car with energy quickly enough. Additionally, there are rumors that some owners of electric vehicles in the country have learned to connect to the power grid illegally and charge the batteries in their cars for free. The state needs to fight this, offer more budgetary and convenient charging options. It is also possible to apply the experience of some developed countries in the development of methods for stimulating the electric vehicle market in the republic. For example, in Norway there are many free charging stations for electric cars. But such a measure will be possible in our conditions only after Kyrgyzstan copes with the problem of energy shortage. In general, the spread of electric vehicles should be associated with a solution for the recycling of waste associated with this mode of transport, especially batteries.

To clarify, yesterday the media reported that Bishkek had acquired two additional electric filling stations. In the future, the number of charging stations will increase, this is necessary to create comfortable conditions for the owners of vehicles that are gaining popularity. Over 1,600 electric vehicles were imported to Kyrgyzstan in 2022.
