Surabaya – Chairman of the Gerindra Fraction of the East Java DPRD, M Fawait or familiarly known as Gus Fawait, believes that the figure of the East Java Regional Police Chief Inspector General Imam Sugianto really knows the characteristics of the people of Bumi Majapahit by heart. Therefore, he believes that Inspector General Imam can make the situation in East Java remain conducive.
“I congratulate and feel grateful for the appointment of the new Regional Police Chief for East Java. I see his track record of really understanding East Java, really understanding Islamic boarding schools. What we need to know is that this Islamic boarding school is one of the educational institutions and a place to fight for independence, Islamic boarding schools are very played a role,” said Gus Fawait in the statement received detikJatimTuesday (17/10/2023).
Gus Fawait said Inspector General Imam was not a new face to the people of East Java, because he had previously carried out duties as a National Police officer in the ranks of the East Java Regional Police. He assessed that Imam really understands the conditions in East Java and really understands Islamic boarding schools.
The President of Laskar Sholawat Nusantara (LSN) also saw the figure of the new Regional Police Chief who is believed to be able to communicate well with related parties.
“I am also confident that he can take the right steps. He will be able to make the people of East Java feel truly protected because they understand East Java. So, I congratulate him and am optimistic that with the new Regional Police Chief, God willing, East Java will be stable. Moreover, Mr. National Police Chief appoint someone who really understands the conditions in East Java, including the world of Islamic boarding schools, including the ulama,” he explained.
According to Gus Fawait, the role of the National Police is very significant and large in maintaining stability throughout the archipelago, including in East Java Province.
“We also pray and hope that the National Police and TNI, and all parties will become stronger, more successful. So that before the 2024 election, everything can be guaranteed to be stable, good and safe. In this way, everyone in the world will be proud to see Indonesia because it can show off its efforts regarding democracy,” he explained.
The chairman of PD TIDAR East Java emphasized that in 2019 Indonesia was able to get through the political year well and continue government by joining two rivals to become a unit in the government.
“However, after the election is over, the interests of the nation and state are number one. This is proven by the good collaboration between President-elect Pak Jokowi and Pak Prabowo Subianto,” he said.
Gus Fawait said that East Java is the province with the second largest population after West Java. A very large province, of course any developments including politics in East Java will certainly affect any climate conditions including national politics.
“We hope that the biggest democratic party in history which will be held in 2024 will be conducive, safe and if it is called a party it must be everybody happy“You have to be happy, you have to be happy,” he concluded.
