Through the regulatory act adopted today by the Government, Romania aligns itself with the European countries that have introduced the new therapy for hepatitis C.
The list of compensated and free drugs was completed today with new molecules, including those for the interferon-free treatment of chronic viral hepatitis C and liver cirrhosis C, which will be available to patients with stage F4 fibrosis.
From next week, patients will be able to begin the necessary investigations to be submitted to the medical record, in order to approve the treatment without interferon.

At the same time, through the decision tried today, patients included in the National Oncology Program or in the diagnosis and treatment of rare diseases will benefit, among others, from new free and compensated drugs.
