A Square Enix announced that a new game of Dragon Quest Monsters is in development, apparently exclusively for Nintendo Switch. He was featured in a trailer celebrating the spin-off series’ 25th anniversary. Dragon Quest.

The first game of Dragon Quest Monsters came out in 1998 for the Game Boy Color — in the US, it was called Dragon Warrior Monstersarriving only in 2000. Since then, 10 games have been released, not counting the compilation Dragon Quest Monsters 1+2 which came out in 2002, and the ports Terry’s Wonderland SP (2018) mobile version of Terry’s Wonderland 3D (2012), which is a 3DS remake of the first game, and Terry’s Wonderland RETRO (2019), a port of the first game for Switch.
