Toei Animation seems to have accidentally prematurely announced a new one yesterday Dragon Ball Supermovie is coming in 2022.
Twitter user @DBSChronicles shared the message that On May 9 – Goku Day – (aka today) Toei will announce a second Dragon Ball Supermovie is coming. This announcement appeared to have been accidentally shared on Toei’s European website on May 5. This website stated the following:
“Toei Animation Celebrates Goku Day With The Surprising Announcement Of A New Dragon Ball Super Movie In 2022”
Other fans turned to the relevant website to check whether this news is really correct. One user even shared screenshots of this news (see below), which has since been removed from the site.

Toei Animation EU recently posted an article on May 5 about an announcement on May 9, 2021, about a new DBS Movie in 2022!

Successful anime
The manga of Dragon Ball Super was written by Dragon Ballcreator Akira Toriyama and was first released in June 2015 as a sequel to the original Dragon Ballmanga (which ran between 1984 and 1995 and spawned two anime series: Dragon Ball (1986) and Dragon Ball Z (1989)).
The previous movie, Dragon Ball Super: Broly, managed to bring in $ 115 million worldwide. It is therefore logical that the makers come with a sequel!
