Kjell Höglund broke through in the 70s and quickly reached cult status with songs such as Sea of Galilee, Life and death, You get used to it – and the more famous ones A large beer and I Hear How They Are Lying With Each Other On The Floor Above.
Höglund himself has hardly been seen since he collapsed before a gig in Östersund in 2008. Now others are telling his story instead. The musicians Ellen Sundberg and Eleanor Brolin have each released an interpretation album with Kjell’s music.
The documentary film When the Train Leaves the Platform investigates why the younger generation chooses to carry on the Höglund legacy. The film features, among others, Kjell Höglund, Ellen Sundberg, Ellinor Brolin, Johan Johansson and others who move in Höglund’s universe.
