Apparently, a new DLC for Age of Empires 2 is coming. For a moment, the add-on’s page was visible in the Microsoft store, along with its title, description and price.

It looks like a new expansion to the popular strategy game Age of Empires II: Definitive Edition will be released soon. RTS fans they noticed because a DLC page called The Mountain Royals was visible in the Microsoft Store for some time. It has already been deleted, but players have managed to find out details about it.
The extension was priced at $14.99, or approximately PLN 64. The last major expansion for Age of Empires II, The Return of Rome, costs PLN 68, so it is possible that we will pay that much for the new DLC. Although the price of The Mountain Royals was revealed, no release date was announced.
As reported by fans on forum Age of Empires, the expansion, will introduce two new civilizations to the game.
Armenians live in the mountainous areas near the lakes Van, Sevan and Urmia. They have units such as archers and warrior priests at their disposal, as well as regular infantry. The Georgians have a kingdom in the shadow of the Caucasus. Their special unit is called Monaspa, whose strength lies in the number of soldiers it consists of.
Along with The Mountain Royals, players will also receive three new campaigns.
Tamar’s Ascension – tells the story of young Tamar, who, as the first queen of Georgia, must defeat skeptics and leave a mark on her achievements. Thoros The Great – the prince of Armenia, Thoros, escapes from his homeland so that he can later liberate it. In addition to the Byzantines, he is also threatened by the Seljuk Turks, who covet areas belonging to Armenia. Ismail – the last campaign tells the story of an orphan named Ismail, who leads the Safavids through war-torn Persia.
The supplement pages have also been preserved screen shots, which have not been removed by the creators yet. It is very possible that since the DLC was accidentally added to the Microsoft store for a moment, it will be officially announced soon. If this happens, we will most likely see a trailer for the expansion, and maybe we will also learn additional information about it, including the release date.
Since there is currently no website for this DLC, all the above details about The Mountain Royals should be treated as a leak. It is possible that such an add-on will not be released at all or will have a different title or price.
