New distribution of roles at R+V Versicherung AG

R+V Versicherung AG has strategically reorganized its board of directors. Dragica Mischler (Photo), currently CEO of the Örag Group, will become CEO of the newly created Finance & Risk Management department with effect from April 1, 2025. Retired at his own request after 20 years

The supervisory board also appointed Holger Nieswandt to the board of active reinsurance. Nieswandt is currently heading the Research & Development department at R+V Re. It will follow on April 12, 2025 Christoph Lamby, who is retiring at his own request after 20 years on the board.

Dragica Mischler’s future department will include, among other things, overall risk management, which is currently managed by IT director Tillmann Lukosch, as well as the areas of group controlling and accounting.

The 50-year-old financial economist and bank clerk Dragica Mischler is currently chairwoman of the board of Örag Rechtsschutzversicherungs-AG and Deutsche Assistance Versicherung AG, a nationwide implementation partner of public insurers.

Dragica Mischler has held leading positions in both the finance and insurance industries for around 20 years. She began her management career at the Talanx Group before moving to Versicherungskammer Bayern. Of the 14 years in the group of public insurers, she was finance and life insurance director of Sparkassen-Versicherung Sachsen for five years before she was appointed CEO of the ÖRAG group of companies. The Wiesbaden native is no stranger to R+V. In the first years of her career she worked in the R+V finance team.

R+V Re will be managed by Holger Nieswandt from mid-April 2025

R+V Re will be led by Holger Nieswandt from mid-April 2025. He has headed the Research & Development department of the Wiesbaden company for more than four years. The 50-year-old, who holds a doctorate in economics, has been employed at R+V Versicherung AG since 2011.

Christoph Lamby has been working at R+V Versicherung AG since 2002. He was initially a general representative before becoming a board member with responsibility for active reinsurance in 2004. Under his aegis, R+V Re developed into an international top 20 reinsurer that generates more than 3.3 billion euros in premium income. Lamby, who holds a doctorate in economics, began his career in the Gerling Group.
