The first initiative of the new discussion club “Acceleration” received serious political and economic support. The club is an initiative of the until recently leader of one of the three formations in DB – “Green Movement” Vladislav Panev. It includes other MPs from the PP-DB, as well as businessmen.
The former president Rosen Plevneliev came to the establishment, members of the current government were also present – the ministers of the environment Julian Popov, the ministers of education Galin Tsokov, as well as the agriculturist Kiril Vatev. Two more ministers, but already former – Gergana and Solomon Passi were also among the guests of the event. The mayor of “Sredets” Traicho Traikov was also here, as well as the deputy mayors of Sofia Municipality Ivan Vasilev and Nadezhda Bobcheva. Municipal councilor and leader of “Save Sofia” Boris Bonev and deputies from “Democratic Bulgaria”, including Georgi Ganev, Antoineta Tsoneva, Stoyan Mihalev and Ilina Mutafchieva also came. Here is the leader of “Yes, Bulgaria” Hristo Ivanov, the leader of the DSB Atanas Atanasov and Nikola Minchev from “We continue the change”.

The organizers claim that the only goal is to provoke the ruling majority, trying to push for legislative reforms beyond those already included in the (non)coalition agreement. “What has been done by the “assembly” in the last 9 months are the basic things – the recovery plan, Schengen… However, it must be upgraded, otherwise we are threatened with a new crisis. We are losing competitiveness and we see this in a number of industries – energy, agriculture, high technologies. We need to implement reforms to make Bulgaria more competitive,” Panev told “24 Chasa” on Monday.
Speakers at the event, apart from Panev, are his colleague from PP-DB Elisaveta Belobradova, banker Levon Hampartsumyan, businessman Philip Rombout and the young deputy director of the 106th elementary school “Grigoriy Tsamblak” in Sofia Rosen Bogomilov. The host is Krasimira Hadzhiivanova, with whom Belobradova runs the platform “Maiko Mila”.
