“With total certainty we can say that this government, together with the National Navyreceived the San José Galleon, has protected it throughout these four years, and will deliver it to the next government intact”said the minister.

In addition, he indicated that “Capacities have been built by our National Navy in order to guarantee that this asset remains indivisibleand a heritage of humanity that we are going to protect”.
On the other hand, he pointed out that in the last year, the Navy has built capabilities through radar, sonars, and a research vehicle, “which obtained the most precise images that can be had of this galleon.”
New Finds in the Deep
