New Details Revealed for Nintendo’s Upcoming Console: Insider Nate the Hate Provides Inside Scoop

Insider Nate the Hate in his podcast told the details about the new console from Nintendo.

What is known

Nate the Hate spoke to unnamed sources close to the development and revealed that the Japanese company’s next gaming device will feature an 8-inch LCD display and 512GB of internal storage. Increasing the capacity of the drive will help to release more demanding and complex games than were released on the Switch.

Sources at Nate the Hate claim that the changes will also affect cartridges. It is possible that 3D NAND technology will be used in their production, which will potentially improve performance and increase the speed of data access.

As far as backwards compatibility is concerned, there is no definitive information here: one of the developers told Nate the Hate that the new console will support this option, but no one else shared such information.

It is believed that the Nintendo Switch 2 console (tentative name) will be released at the end of 2024. It will probably be officially announced at gamescom 2023.
