The Chernihiv region continues to say goodbye to the people who died on December 7 as a result of a collision of a minibus with a wagon. 13 people became victims of a terrible road accident, seven more were seriously injured. On that tragic morning, they were just going about their business – some to work, some to school, some to the hospital.

I went to the operation in Chernihiv
Among the dead there was also a resident of the village of Novye Mlyny, Borznyansky district – 62-year-old Petr Khatnyuk… The man was on his way to the operation in Chernigov.
“All his life he lived alone, never married. He had no children. For many years he worked as a driver at the Selkhozkhimiya enterprise in a neighboring village. He kept two cows himself, sold milk. He also has a tractor, he was engaged in agriculture. A hardworking, calm person, “says his fellow villager Ivan Grigorievich OBOZREVATEL.
Petr still has a sister, Larisa (lives in the same village), he also has a brother, but now he is in the hospital after the operation. In addition to Khatniuk, there were no more residents from Novye Mlyn in that minibus. “They say there was still a girl, but the driver did not take her. Yes, and I was going to go by that minibus, but my daughter stopped me. We were lucky,” says Ivan Grigorievich.
On Thursday, December 9, Pyotr Khatnyuk was buried.

–Worked at the Pension Fund
Also killed in the minibus 41-year-old Natalia Bolva from the village of Pokrovskoe, Mensky District. The woman worked as a chief specialist in the department of the Pension Fund. She left a husband, the couple had no children.
“Natalia Ivanovna herself is from another village. But she moved here a long time ago, when she got married. Her husband is from our village of Kukovichi. A good family. Where and why she went that morning, I do not know,” a local resident Irina says to OBOZREVATEL.

On the eve of OBOZREVATEL reported details about other victims. Among the victims were Yaroslav Veremienko and Victoria Gurin… The young people were 23 years old, they met for a long time and were planning to get married in the near future.

Another accident ended lives 19-year-old Yulia and her 49-year-old mother Nina Tkachenkowho worked as an English teacher.

Also, the tragedy claimed the lives of a 54-year-old resident of the village of Velikaya Daughter Natalia Matyash and the 47-year-old driver of that minibus Alexandra Martynenko, who is survived by a wife and two children.

On the Chernigov – Gremyach highway near the village of Brusilov, a wagon flew into the minibus, which was carried into the oncoming lane and even turned around from a strong blow. After the collision, the bodies of people were thrown onto the road, and some were trapped in the cabin.

13 people from that minibus were killed, including its driver. Seven more passengers were taken to Chernigov hospitals in serious condition.
