A Dell announced its new webcam UltraSharp 4K, which comes with many features and is a more affordable and easier-to-configure solution than a DSLR camera. The model bets on a look different from current standards, images up to 4K and solutions for artificial intelligence to keep the user always centered on the footage.
From the standpoint of the model, what most calls the attention of the model is its design, which is quite different for those who are not a fan of the Apple, that’s because the UltraSharp is clearly inspired by iSight, that the manufacturer of the iPhone sold from 2003 to 2008. Internally the model comes with a sensor Sony STARVIS CMOS of 8.3 MP, which is capable of recording images at up to 4K 30fps, plus 1080p and 720p at 60 fps.
According to the manufacturer, the webcam sensor put it among the best available for purchase in your price range, offering “better image quality”. It also features a field of view (FOV) from 65 degrees to up to 90 degrees, also performing a up to 5X digital zoom with auto focus.
One of the best novelties of the model is the automatic framing mode, where an AI follows the user’s movements to keep it always in the center of the frame. However, this feature does not move the webcam, it only makes a digital zoom that serves to maintain a perfect framing on the user.
The camera also has integration with the Windows Hello, which can be used to do facial recognition to unlock Windows faster. Along with that, on Dell computers, the UltraSharp 4K works together with technology Express Sign-In, which logs the user in or out automatically depending on whether or not he is in front of the computer.

Along with these features, the webcam also comes with basic image settings, mainly relying on a auto video light correction set, leaving the optimal image regardless of ambient lighting. Various other settings features can also be performed on the camera, however they have to be done by the software Peripheral Manager from the company.
For mounting, the camera has some options for use, namely: tripod, a magnetic connector or a kit for mounting on the monitor. THE UltraSharp 4K is already available for purchase in the United States for US$199.99, approximately R$980 in direct conversion.
