Wednesday, February 23, 2022, Ottawa, ON – Sport Tourism Canada and Edmonton Events are pleased to announce that the new dates for the Sporting Events Congress are now confirmed. The event will be held on November 2-3-4, 2022 in Edmonton!
As Canada’s leader in sport tourism, a $7.4 billion-a-year industry sector, Sport Tourism Canada has hosted Sport Events Congress since 2001. Canada’s sport tourism industry, including destination tourism professionals, sport event rights holders, event management firms, hoteliers, the education sector and elected officials.
the CES22 promises to be everything attendees know and love about convention – an interactive, educational event, business-to-business networking opportunities, evening socials (including an Edmonton Oilers NHL game at Rogers Place) and lots of fun! Consult the preliminary schedule here.
As the pandemic has significantly altered the hosting of sporting events in Canada, CES22 programming will focus on reviving and supporting the sport tourism industry to allow it to rebound. All recommended local health protocols will be in place, as well as some additional security measures as Sport Tourism Canada deems necessary to ensure the safety of all delegates.
For now, anyone interested in participating is encouraged to rebook the date din CES22 November 2, 3 and 4 in Edmonton. The early registration period will reopen on 1is March.
