The previously canceled match between Ajax and FC Utrecht will be rescheduled on Wednesday, December 4 at 8:00 PM. The match will take place in the Johan Cruijff ArenA in Amsterdam.
The match was originally scheduled for Sunday, September 15, but was canceled due to police strikes. The municipality of Amsterdam found it irresponsible to allow the match to go ahead without police escort, because the safety of players, supporters and public order in the city could not be guaranteed.
FC Utrecht then announced that it was disappointed with the decision: “Police officers have every right to go on strike, but the club would have liked to further explore the option of playing the match with an audience in collaboration with Ajax and the municipality of Amsterdam, among others. . The discussions held in recent days made everyone hopeful.”
