Vienna / Graz – Let’s start with the good news: “Until now, it was very rare in Austria that children were seriously ill with Covid-19 or its consequences,” says Volker Strenger. The specialist for viral diseases in children at the Med-Uni Graz regularly carries out surveys and has a good overview of severe cases of CoV illness in children. “Only a little more than 20 children had to be treated in intensive care units,” says Strenger. “Not a single one died from it.”
