Champion has appointed Maurizio Donadi as its new creative director for Europe to usher in a “bold new era of innovation and design”.
Donadi will take up the new role from December 1 and lead the company’s creative vision and direction, the US brand announced on Monday. The appointment follows the completed takeover of Champion by Authentic Brands Group.
Maurizio Donadi, who currently lives in Los Angeles and Italy, has worked with companies such as Giorgio Armani, Levi’s and Ralph Lauren before founding his atelier Transnomadica, where he “looks back” by assembling his personal archive of vintage clothing and objects “to look forward.”
He brings a wealth of industry knowledge that will increase the relevance of the Champion brand and promote further innovation, according to the statement. Donadi will provide creative direction for all Champion product lines and seasonal collections, supporting the team in brand campaigns and collaboration strategies to ensure the integrity of Champion’s core values of quality, performance and style.
