New Covid-19 Infection Cases Reappear in Xinjiang

Jakarta, CNN Indonesia –

New cases of infection corona virus (Covid-19) has re-emerged in the Province Xinjiang, China.

As reported CNNThursday (5/11), the Xinjiang Public Health Commission recorded ten new cases of Covid-19 infection in the province.

Of that number, eight patients showed symptoms and the rest had no symptoms of Covid-19. All the patients were in Shufu County, Kashgar City.

According to the latest data, currently there are 118 cases of Covid-19 infection in Shufu.

At the provincial level, there have been 72 reported patients with symptoms and 339 patients without symptoms of Covid-19 in Xinjiang since October.

The Chinese government is now separating the count of cases of corona virus infection with and without symptoms. Asymptomatic patients will not be included in the official accounting data.

The Covid-19 outbreak in Xinjiang has erupted since last October. At that time an initial patient without symptoms was detected in Kashgar city.

This prompted the Chinese government to launch a massive Covid-19 check to test millions of residents in Xinjiang.
