JAKARTA, KOMPAS.TV – Access in and out of Bulurejo Hamlet, Bantengan Village, Madiun Regency, East Java, was closed, because as many as 66 residents were positive for COVID-19 after undergoing an antigen swab test.
The mass test was carried out by the Madiun Regency Covid-19 handling team, after hundreds of Dukuh Bulurejo residents complained of coughs, colds, and fevers simultaneously after attending the wedding celebration of one of the local residents.
In addition to closing access in and out of residents, joint officers also sprayed disinfectant, and carried out further tracking of close contacts of residents who were positive for COVID-19.
Dozens of residents are currently self-isolating, while three other residents must be treated at the Covid-19 referral hospital, at the Dolopo Madiun Hospital.
Meanwhile, in the Special Region of Yogyakarta, as many as 35 residents of Ngrangsan Hamlet, Selomartani Village, Sleman Regency, were confirmed positive for COVID-19.
