This is the case:
In 2008, the financier was convicted of having bought sexual services from several underage girls. He served 13 months.
Then, in 2019, Epstein was arrested and charged with paying underage girls for massages and then sexually assaulting them at his residences in Florida and New York.
Ghislaine Maxwell, with whom Epstein had a relationship for several years, was arrested in the case in July 2020.
Maxwell was sentenced to 20 years in prison for trafficking in girls and young women. She has appealed the sentence.
The documents now being made public are from a lawsuit by Virginia Giuffre, Epstein’s chief accuser, against Maxwell in 2015. They are being released in line with a December 18 court order that concluded there is no legal basis to keep the documents secret.
According to Loretta Preska, the judge in charge of Giuffre’s lawsuit against Maxwell, many of the names on the Epstein list have already been identified in the media, writes BBC.

Met several Norwegians
Both before and after the verdict in 2008, Epstein surrounded himself with a number of famous and powerful people.
One of them was former Prime Minister and Labor Party leader Thorbjørn Jagland. He said in December 2019 that he had never been in contact with Epstein – but later confirmed DN that he had attended a meeting with the financier in 2013.
The meeting took place in Jagland’s residence in Strasbourg, where he lived while he was head of the Council of Europe. There he welcomed a small group of people, including Bill Gates. Epstein is said not to have actively participated in the meeting.
Today’s business revealed also in 2019 that Epstein had met Crown Princess Mette-Marit several times, both at his home and in Oslo.
– I should have investigated Jeffrey Epstein’s past more closely, and I am sorry that I did not, she said at the time in a statement.

“Serious misjudgment”
See and listen and Today’s business in December 2019 gained access to the passenger lists from Epstein’s private plane “Lolita Express”, which showed that the Norwegian businesswoman Celina Midelfart was a passenger on board the plane on several occasions.
During the trial against Epstein’s former girlfriend, Ghislaine Maxwell in 2021, it was also alleged that Midelfart had a relationship with Epstein. She has rejected this as a lie to VG.
The Norwegian top diplomat Terje Rød-Larsen admitted in 2020 to having borrowed money from the billionaire Epstein. At one point he owed Epstein $130,000, and he later gave the green light for a $100,000 payment from the International Peace Institute (IPI) think tank to Epstein, has DN previously written.
Red-Larsen resigned as head of IPI after receiving strong criticism from the chairman of the board for the financial link to Epstein. He have themselves described it as a “serious misjudgment” which he regrets wholeheartedly.

- British Prince Andrew
- Former US President Bill Clinton
- US presidential candidate Donald Trump
- The late artist Michael Jackson
- The magician David Copperfield
It writes BBC.
One of the documents contains a statement given by Johanna Sjoberg, which Ghislaine Maxwell allegedly acquired with the aim of performing sexual acts on Epstein.
According to the documents, Sjoberg explained that Epstein said that “Clinton likes them young, referring to girls.”
She also explained that Esptein allegedly said, “Great, we’ll call Trump,” after the pilots advised that their plane could not land in New York but had to stop in New Jersey. When asked if she gave him a massage, she says no.

Furthermore, Sjoberg explained that Michael Jackson and Copperfield visited Epstein’s mansion in Palm Beach.
“I met Michael Jackson,” she says, according to the documents, but answered no when asked if she gave him a massage.
Prince Andrew relinquished all titles in January 2022 due to allegations by one of Esptein’s alleged victims, Virginia Giuffres, that he repeatedly sexually assaulted her in 2001 when she was 17 years old. The case ended with a settlement.
