. 79-year-old woman: She lives in Jialian Building, Jiawei Village, Hung Hom. The building had to be subject to mandatory testing due to a confirmed diagnosis. She was found to be diagnosed and asymptomatic after testing on February 13. During the infectious period, she visited her relatives in Block A of Caiyiju on February 11. Ou Jiarong, the chief physician of the Infectious Diseases Department of the Health Protection Center, said that according to the center’s understanding, the old woman was not visiting relatives. A total of 5 cases were confirmed in 3 units of Jialian Building in Jiawei Village, and the floors and orientations of the 3 units were different.
. 34-year-old baker: He lives in Chung Chei House, Tin Chung Court, Tin Shui Wai, and works in Balencia, a bakery in V City, Tuen Mun. He is responsible for making bread. His last working day was February 13, and he developed symptoms on the same day. He later sought medical treatment at Tin Shui Wai Hospital and was confirmed to be diagnosed. He is currently in Tuen Mun Hospital. He was tested under the company’s arrangement on February 3, and the result was negative. The Center for Health Protection will recommend that the bakery be closed on the 14th and about 6 colleagues to be quarantined. Ou Jiarong pointed out that the confirmed baker did not have direct contact with the customer, and citizens who have been to the store can be tested if they are worried.
. 65-year-old law firm clerk: lives in Block 26 of Xinghua Village, works at 59-65 Queen’s Road Central, and last work day is February 11. She developed symptoms on February 9. After seeking medical attention on February 10, she submitted a sample the next day and was subsequently diagnosed. She visited her relatives on February 12 in Aiping Building in Aidong Village during the infectious period. About 11 related close contacts must be sent to the quarantine center.

Together with yesterday’s imported case (case 10769) from Turkey, it was also found to have the N501Y gene. There are currently 10 imported cases in Hong Kong that have been found to carry the N501Y gene, which is subject to detailed genetic analysis by the Public Health Laboratory Center of the Department of Health.

The Director of the Centre for Health Protection Lin Wenjian said that as of February 14, a total of 327 cases had been recorded in Hong Kong in the past two weeks, of which 12% were imported cases. Among the local cases, about three became the source of unknown infection.
