The number of new corona infections in Salzburg has decreased significantly, as data on wastewater also shows. The autumn wave is over, the country announces today in a broadcast.

85 patients in intensive care

In one week there was a decrease of 628 patients who tested positive. 85 people are hospitalized in intensive care units. This number hasn’t changed since yesterday and has dropped by 13 patients in one week. However, the way the numbers were recorded was changed again last week. Post- and long-term Covid patients who are no longer infectious are no longer included in Covid statistics. Until now, Vienna, for example, had also included post-Covid or Covid-19 patients who were no longer positive in the wards. Since then, only the number of infected people found in normal wards has been reported to the so-called Capacity Detection Tool (KET).
